Biography of Sai Varanasi
Born on July 29th, 1972, in India. Obtained Bachelors of Technology degree from the
Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering.
Currently pursuing the Doctrate degree at University of California, San Diego, in the field
of 'Tribology of Magnetic Head/Disk interface.'
The research projects include,'Effect of surface roughness and
zone texturing on stiction and wear of thin film disks,' 'Tribology of
Carbon coated thin film sliders,' 'Tribology of three-pad sliders.'
