Joerg Fritzsche

Joerg Fritzsche is a visiting student in Professor Frank Talke's lab for the academic year 2008/2009. Joerg is here on a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). During his stay he will attend courses at UCSD and do research at the CMRR in thermal flying height control in order to decrease the distance between slider and disk and thus increasing recording density and efficiency. In 2005, he joined the mechanical engineering program at the University of Rostock. In 2007, he passed his intermediate examination successfully and is now specializing in thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. Outside of the lab Joerg enjoys surfing, swimming and living in San Diego.
