Professor Longqiu Li

Dr. Longqiu Li is an associate professor of the Harbin Institute of Technology, China and currently a visiting professor of the University of California, San Diego. He received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D in mechanical engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology in 2005, 2008 and 2010, respectively. He was a joint PhD student at the University of California, San Diego from 2008 through 2010. He was appointed to the faculty as an assistant professor at the Harbin Institute of Technology in 2010 and starts to be an associate professor since 2012. His interests are in the areas of surface engineering and tribology in micro/nano scale, micro/nano sensors for MEMS/NEMS, biomedical and aerospace applications. He is the author of 50 technical publications or so and holds 25 Chinese invent patents. He is a member of the ASME, STLE and SPIE. He is a technical committee member of contact mechanics in STLE .He is also active in participating the international conferences and becoming a frequent reviewer for manuscripts in mechanical journals including the ASME Journal of Tribology, Tribology Letters, and Tribology International, Wear, IEEE Journal of Microelectromechanical Systems, IEEE on Magnetics, Inverse Problems in Science & Engineering, Microsystem Technologies.
