Hao got her B.S. degree in Beijing University of Technology, China, majoring in thermal and energy engineering. Her specialization was on automotive engineering.
She joined Prof. Talke's group in 2006, and received her M.S. degree from UCSD in September 2008.
Her current research interests are related to hard disk shock modeling and the numerical simulation of thermal flying height control slider.
