Ariel was born and grew up in Taiwan. She received her B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering at UCSD in 2007, and she is currently pursuing her M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering under the MS/BS Program at UCSD. Her research interests are simulation and application of thermal pole-tip protrusion of magnetic head.
